Murray has found himself most effective in the pooling together of his knowledge and experience in the many diverse aspects of financial planning with which he has been involved in the last decade. Often times referring to himself as the “general contractor” of clients’ life plans, he works with top experts and specialists drawing upon their expertise to provide the top level of service in the “building and construction” of their goals and dreams.

Murray began working with individual and family trusts over a decade ago at a large national banking institution as part of their Investment and Trust division. He then moved to a national brokerage chain specializing in investment trading before moving to a large global investment firm with a focus on investment portfolio construction. Quickly recognizing the disconnect between his desire for a client-centered business and the constraints of working for a national wirehouse, Murray’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to form eLuminate Financial Services, Inc.

Murray earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree at the Hankamer School of Business at Baylor University in Waco, Texas. While at college he achieved the Dean’s List, was Chief Justice of the Student Court, member of Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society, member of the Baylor Chamber of Commerce, and was listed in Who’s Who among Students in American Colleges and Universities, among many other honors.

A lifelong personal passion of Murray’s is community service. As a civic leader, he has been actively involved all his life in community affairs through a number of volunteer activities. He has been a director on the board of the Dallas Heart Ball, a member of the World Affairs Council, and an active member of his church to only name a few. Murray currently serves on the Maricopa County Planning and Zoning Commission in Arizona as the County Commissioner for District 5.

Two of Murray’s other personal passions are easily identified as travel and adventure. Recreationally, Murray loves to fill his life with adventure through sailing, scuba diving, playing polo, and flying. His extensive travels have taken him around the world visiting many historic and exotic locations. Murray has paired his love for community service with this desire for adventure through his involvement in Charity Rallies. With this he has conquered drives spanning three continents, across vast deserts, and over some of the highest passages in the world. Most recently, he has worked to organize a new Charity Rally that delivers ambulances and much-needed supplies to the people of Central America.
